Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency: Green Start programThe federal Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency (DCCEE) announced its Green Start program, aimed at helping Australian households, particularly low-income and disadvantaged households, save energy and reduce energy bills. Round 1 will provide home energy assessments and Round 2 will provide energy advice and assistance to low income and disadvantaged households.

 

The Green Start Program replaces the Green Loans Program.

DCCEE will seek proposals from community and welfare sector non-government and other organisations, to provide practical help to low-income and disadvantaged Australians to improve their energy efficiency. as part of Round 2.
