Live blog: transition to CB and EIPP tendering

We'll be holding a live blog next Tuesday 14 September, 2-3pm to address issues around transition to Community Builders (CB) and tendering for the Early Intervention & Placement Prevention (EIPP) program. Members are encouraged to blog on the day; or provide comments, feedback and queries beforehand, which will be answered and posted on the day.

Community Services has released its transition and tender material for CSGP realignment online, and the tender process is now open. Realignment of CSGP funded services and the development of the Early Intervention & Placement Prevention (EIPP) program have been designed to support Keep Them Safe (KTS) strategic goals. Please read all relevant documents, including Frequently Asked Questions, and contact LCSA for further assistance.

Thank you again for helping us secure an extra $10 million for community strengthening and capacity building, in our CSGP funding campaign. Funding disbursment details are still unavailable, but in the meantime we have produced a simple checklist for centre staff and boards to ensure they prepare for the Community Builders transition. Please read it and related documents as the changes will impact your centre's operation and services.

Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency: Green Start program

The federal Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency (DCCEE) announced its Green Start program, aimed at helping Australian households, particularly low-income and disadvantaged households, save energy and reduce energy bills. Round 1 will provide home energy assessments and Round 2 will provide energy advice and assistance to low income and disadvantaged households.

DECCW: Home Power Savings Program

The NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW) has launched the Home Power Savings Program to help vulnerable households manage their power use and to reduce power bills. Participants will find out which appliances use the most energy and how they can save up to 20% on power bills. Eligible households are able to join this FREE program now.
