ACOSS' budget statement outlines its policy recommendations for consideration by the Federal Government in its 2010-11 Budget, to allow the Government to continue its vital funding for social security payments; for social and community services to alleviate the effects of poverty and its consequent social exclusion; and to prioritise public funds expenditure in the context of the global recession and its impact upon revenue. Vote 1 Fairness in NSW: NCOSS 2011 state election campaign

Leading up to NSW's 2011 state election, NCOSS has launched its Vote 1 Fairness in NSW campaign calling for measures to make a difference for the most vulnerable in our communities. The measures are real, practical ideas that deliver improved outcomes and build a fairer society based on 12 broad themes including Aboriginal self-determination, strong communities and strengthening the community sector.
