The Moving Forward Together Association is once again holding it's poster competition in celeration of Harmony Day on 21 March 2009. The competition is open to primary and high school students and will allow them to explore the competition's theme of ‘Building Community Harmony’. Applications close Friday 19 December 2008. |

$300 million local community infrastructure program |

The Federal Government today announced a $300 million program to build local community infrastructure in all of Australia's 565 local council areas, as part of the inaugural meeting of the Australian Council of Local Government (ACLG). The $300 million Regional and Local Community Infrastructure Program (RLCIP) is expected to boost local economic development and support jobs in communities around the country. |

Mental Health Carer report - local coordinators needed |

The Mental Health Council of Australia (MHCA) successfully completed 89 workshops for mental health carers around Australia in 2008. In April 2009 the MHCA will provide a further 15 workshops. The workshops will be used by MHCA as a means of monitoring carer issues for the Mental Health Carers Report to begin in 2009. MHCA are seeking local coordinators to be involved in these workshops and the Report. |

The PPP provides new training places in skills employers want and is designed to help you secure employment. You can gain a new qualification or upgrade an existing qualification.
