LCSA 2010 Conference

Wednesday 1 - Thursday 2 September, 2010

Climate change, intergenerational poverty, entrenched disadvantage, inadequate transport, lack of opportunity – we constantly encounter ‘wicked problems’ - the difficult, persistent, intractable problems that will not go away and the negative cycles that spiral down into hopelessness and despair.  Some communities receive multiple programs year after year, yet nothing seems to change.

We also encounter wicked problems within our own organisations. Funding issues are a constant headache, we are in danger of attempting more and more with less and less, burnout is an ever present danger, and now there is the burden of program reform!

Wicked Problems require innovative solutions – and they are available! LCSA’s 2010 Annual Conference “Wicked Problems – Innovative Solutions” highlights the positive achievements of our sector in bringing innovative approaches to entrenched problems. Speakers, panellists and workshop leaders will inspire, challenge and encourage you with fresh insights which deliver new approaches.
