About Us

Who we are
The Local Community Services Association (LCSA) is the peak body of Neighbourhood and Community Centres in NSW. Formed in 1974, it continues to resource and support members to grow as community development organisations, and to advocate and represent them amongst government and policy makers.

Our aim of promoting and fostering social justice across NSW communities is guided by community development principles and strategies, which enables us to work with committees and communities to strengthen local management, ensure decision making has a long-term focus on preventing and reducing social problems, rather than blaming marginalised individuals and groups and to create a fair distribution of resources and opportunity for the entire community.

What we do
LCSA supports and resources member centres with our:

• Funded projects
• Regional meetings, facilitations and networking opportunities
